Mega coal haulers are designed for use with off-highway trucks converted into tow tractors. The complete Mega solution includes the hitch system, and modifications to the chassis hydraulic, electrical, braking and computer control systems. Mega coal haulers are designed to comply with OEM tire and tractor axle load limits and meet applicable ROPS, emergency steering, and braking performance criteria. Our design maximizes the use of OEM content in the design of the trailer, suspension, and wheel and brake system components.
Mega bottom dump trailers are designed for use with materials of greater density and higher abrasive properties. The MBD utilizes the same hitch, deck and fender system as well as the hydraulic, braking and control systems of the MCH.
Mega trailers can be purchased for integration with a dealer-provided truck or as a complete solution with a Mega-provided truck. Purchasing your complete solution directly from Mega streamlines the ordering process and significantly reduces the complexities related to delivery timing and shipping.

The doors are fabricated using formed plates to develop a rigid box section capable of withstanding high impact loads. They are also designed with a minimal gap to reduce material leakage. Mega doors use chrome plated pins with greaseless bushings for long life and low maintenance.
The Mega door valving system divides flow equally to synchronize door movement. A series of check and over-center valves prevent door drift. The four door activation cylinders are located externally at the front and rear of each door.
The electronic turn limit Indicator provides an audible and visual warning to the operator if the trailer is approaching the maximum angle of rotation.
Mega tanks are abrasive blasted prior to application of anti-corrosive primer. The exterior top coat is color matched to the current manufacturers color.
Gooseneck includes two manholes providing access to hydraulic componentry and electrical cabling.
The Mega bottom dump trailer includes an access ladder to the top of the gooseneck. Our standard ladder features tread grip rungs for a sure-footed grip and hand rails at the top of the ladder allowing safe access to the top of the gooseneck.
The hitch deck and fender arrangement protects chassis componentry and provides access to the transmission through hinged doors. Includes ball hitch receiver group, drive tire fender group and steel grate deck assembly.

Manual lubrication banks are provided at the front and rear door pivot points and at the trailing axle suspension cylinders.

The auto-lube grease system provides lines from the lubrication banks to the gooseneck. It integrates the manual lube banks with the tractor auto lubrication system.
The in-cab indicating system notifies the operator when the doors have reached a pre-determined open position. The system is designed to prevent creation of large windrows during stockpile operations.
