The MPT has a 45,000 liter / 12,000 gallon nominal capacity and is designed for towing with a fifth-wheel on-highway truck. The MPT is a necessary piece of support equipment designed to rapidly fill a variety of water distribution equipment. To maximize the productivity of your operations, the MPT uses an engine driven hydraulic pump and hoist cylinders to lift the tank for maximum height clearance. Our portable tank has a 10-inch diameter discharge pipe that can deliver up to 2,000 gpm. The MPT complies with DOT requirements and comes standard with white exterior paint. Other paint color options are available as well as custom logos.

Mega MPT tanks include an access ladder to the top of the tank. Our standard ladder features tread grip rungs for a sure-footed grip and hand rails at the top of the ladder for ease of access to the top of the tank.
The Mega braking system is D.O.T. approved.
The canvas sock for the down spout helps reduce water splash.
A constant force wheel on the shut-off valve ensures positive closure of the discharge pipe.
All clearance, stop, and tail lighting on Mega tanks are LED for long life and low maintenance. The lights are controlled by switches in the cab control.
Dual double-acting hydraulic cylinders allow the tank to be raised for filling operations.
Mega tanks are abrasive blasted prior to application of anti-corrosive primer. The exterior top coat is a standard white color.
One 3 inch diameter fill pipe with an auto-shutoff valve mounted at the bottom of the pipe enables ground level fill.
A float valve provides smooth, positive shut off when the tank is full.
A ten inch diameter discharge tube dispenses water from the front of the tank.
Standard glad hand connectors for hook-up to the transport vehicle are located above the frame arrangement to reduce the possibility of damage.

A 6.5 hp engine and hydraulic pump are mounted on the base of the tank structure and includes a handle for easy removal and storage when the tank is locked in the raised position.

Mega tanks are abrasive blasted prior to the application of the interior coating. The epoxy lining is well suited for harsh, acidic, alkaline, and salty waters. Urethane lining is very effective in normal to salty waters. Coating data sheet and MSDS available upon request.
An optional ladder is mounted in the interior of the tank to provide access in addition to the supplied egress rungs.
The ladder cage provides added safety when accessing the top of the tank.
The discharge system includes a solar panel mounted on the tank. This charges the battery for the electric motor which powers the remote control, electrically actuated butterfly valve.
The side-discharge pipe allows water trucks to be positioned alongside the portable tank for filling. This feature is useful when the MPT is placed in a highway center median or an area with limited space.
The wye strainer is installed on the standard fill pipe to help prevent debris from entering the fill pipe valve.
