Mega is celebrating its 48th year of operation. Along the way, we have had many wonderful people reach major career milestones with our company. I think it is traditional to honor folks every five years, beginning with their 25th anniversary – I learned there is actually a word for that: “Quinquennial”! I am pleased to recognize the following people for their contributions to our success and reaching their quinquennial anniversaries around the time of this newsletter:
Rob Ellsworth supervises our largest department at Mega; the welding shop. Mega manufactures steel weldments that can be more than 70’ (21 meters) long and can weigh up to 100 tons (90 metric tons)Rob leads the crew that puts these structures together.
Ron Davis, our Machine Shop and Yard Supervisor, oversees cutting, forming, and machining operations. His team operates press brakes, forming rolls, lathes, mills, saws, and a plasma cutting machine to create nearly all our steel parts in-house.
Phoebe Hire joined Mega as our Controller in 1999. As CFO/COO, Phoebe is now responsible for overseeing all financial, product support and manufacturing operations for Mega.
Elaine Maes is our Accounts Payable/Receivable Administrator. She makes sure all transactions are smooth and accurate, keeping everything organized and on track.
These veteran employees lead Team Mega to deliver the most durable and best-supported product solutions to the markets we serve. Please join me in congratulating Rob, Ron, Phoebe and Elaine for their service to our business and our industry!

Mega displayed our first MTT52 52,000 gallon (197,000 liter) water tank at MinExpo in 2000. At the time, it was one of the biggest off-highway water trucks ever built. Now, over the past year we have delivered about one unit per month and this model is rapidly becoming one of the most popular sizes.
Like all of Mega’s off-highway water trucks, the MTT52 features our DiSCS spray control system and available Mega stainless steel spray heads, piping, water cannon, water pump and fire-fighting foam agent tank. Mega MTT52’s can be found on Caterpillar 793 and Komatsu 830E 240 short ton (217 metric ton) rigid frame mining trucks in dust control applications.

Recently, Mega Corp. facilitated comprehensive service training sessions over two days, attended by a group compromised of 11 service technicians, master mechanics, and technical communicators from Empire CAT: dealer for Arizona, Nevada and Southeastern California. Mega has completed delivery of the first of two MOH4 4,000 gallon (15,140 liter) water trucks in Texas. This new model is based on a Peterbilt 367 chassis and was derived from our very successful Kenworth T880 model. The MOH4 features off-highway-capable spray system components, a variable displacement hydraulic system and exceptional service life.
Mega is pleased to announce completion of its first on-highway fuel and lube service body. The MFL3 features dual fuel, grease and DEF systems and will be used to service fleets of construction equipment. This is the first unit in a group of five MFL3’s in process and is based on the Kenworth T880 Class 8 heavy-duty truck chassis.
We're delighted to introduce the newest members of our Mega team!
First up is Cruz Schlegel, who has recently stepped into the role of Marketing Administrator. Cruz will play a pivotal role in supporting all facets of our marketing efforts, including social media management and in-house publishing.
In addition, we extend a warm welcome to Gunnar Schlegel, who joins our Mega Technology department. With a background in business information technology and data management, Gunnar will be lending his expertise to areas such as technology support, application management, business reporting, and various special projects.
We also want to acknowledge Dakota Lovato, who's currently serving as a blaster—a demanding role that showcases his remarkable endurance. Dakota's journey as a liver transplant survivor speaks volumes about his resilience, and his charismatic personality shines through in his love for bodybuilding and zest for life.
Joining our welding team is Logan Pierson, who comes to us fresh from Central New Mexico Community College with an Associates in Welding Science. Logan's passion for drawing and painting aligns perfectly with his role as a welder, and he's enthusiastic about contributing his skills to the Mega team while advancing his career with us.
