Mega’s biggest asset is its people – they design, build, sell & support our products and they make our brand image the best in the business. This newsletter celebrates our new employees, our veterans and the retirement of one of our most valuable leaders, our weld shop manager; Rob Ellsworth. Rob is the definition of a dedicated employee and Mega has been blessed to have him on our team over the past 1/3 of a century. Rob was among the first people I met when I joined Mega – he greeted me by “accidentally” turning on a water tank spray head that I was standing next to – you can imagine the outcome! Despite that auspicious start, I am grateful for having had the experience of working alongside Rob for over 20 years, watching him lead great people, building great products. I wish him all the best. Please read more about Rob and many of our other employees elsewhere in this newsletter. We have a great deal to be thankful for as we complete a very successful 2024 and we look forward to a wonderful 2025. From the entire Mega team, I want to thank all of our customers for your business this year, and we wish all of our customers, suppliers, partners and fellow employees a safe and happy Holiday Season!
We celebrate a milestone as we honor Rob Ellsworth, who is retiring after an incredible 36 years at Mega. As one of Mega’s longest-serving employees, Rob’s commitment and contributions have become a part of the Mega story.
Rob began his journey at Mega as a welder, advancing to night crew supervisor, followed by supervisor of our Albuquerque West Side satellite facility before rising to the position of weld shop supervisor—a position he has held with true dedication until his well-earned retirement. Even though Rob is a highly skilled steel fabricator, Rob’s character is his greatest asset. There has been no job too tough or day too long that he wasn’t present and accounted for. We all have grown accustomed to his strength and determination and will strive to keep that energy as part of the company. His care for the individual person is evident in his decision to make mentoring the next generation a top priority before stepping away. His efforts to ensure the shop’s continued success leave a lasting legacy, and he takes pride in knowing he has entrusted it to capable hands.
After decades at Mega, Rob has expressed heartfelt gratitude for the respect and support he’s received throughout his career—something he admits made it very difficult to say goodbye. As we bid farewell, we celebrate Rob’s remarkable career and wish him every joy in this next chapter of life. All of us who have had the privilege of working alongside Rob, will miss him terribly. In Rob’s own words, “They hired me to do the job, and I did it!” From all of us at Mega we thank you, Rob, for everything!
Don't Wait-Order Your Mega MPT
Mega’s MPT12 portable water tank has been a big seller the past few years – so much so, that we have had a tough time building enough of them to meet demand. Mega’s crew has worked hard to get us in a position to build these products for inventory – but we are already close to running out of those. If you are planning to add MPT’s to your operation next year, it is not too late to get these on order – contact our sales team for more information or visit our inventory page.

At Mega, we pride ourselves on providing reliable and robust solutions for the mining and construction industries, and our recent delivery to California is no exception. Our team successfully manufactured and shipped a 100-ton bottom dump trailer, designed to withstand the toughest of terrains and handle massive loads with ease.
After delivery, our crew headed out to California to ensure everything was running smoothly onsite. During the visit, we took the opportunity to capture the trailer in action. Seeing it in full operation, hauling tons of material effortlessly, was a testament to the engineering and craftsmanship our team brings to each project.
Recently, Mega held a training session for our friends at MATCO the Caterpillar dealer for western Mexico. The training focused on our spray equipment & parts and was conducted entirely in Spanish. Mega provided the MATCO team with in-depth knowledge on the operation, maintenance, and best practices for using Mega’s spray solutions. The training not only enhanced their understanding of our products but also strengthened the partnership between our teams, ensuring that MATCO can confidently support their customers with Mega’s
industry-leading equipment. We offer customized training sessions for our partners and customers. Please contact us to learn more about our training options.
We want to thank the Mega Product Support and Parts Sales teams for making this happen.

Mega has begun deliveries of products from its latest manufacturing partner location in North Carolina. Mega is able to manufacture its full range of products for articulated and small rigid frame trucks at this location. Mega uses manufacturing partners to reduce freight expense by moving the fabrication and final assembly operations closer to the destination.
Mega works with all of our manufacturing partners to ensure our products are built to the same high quality standards from every location and we provide the same level of product support to customers using those products.
